THE TRADE
A vérité-style, character-driven documentary series directed by Matthew Heineman. Season two premiered at Sundance in 2020 and won an Emmy for Outstanding Cinematography in 2021.
As one of the pricipal DPs, I spent much of 2019 embedded along the US—Mexico border following an undercover operative working against Mexican cartels, a sex trafficking victim blowing the whistle on an international religious organization, and an undocumented grandmother being deported by ICE agents despite decades of life in the States.
SEASON TWO - TRAILER
The Trade is a timely and emotional study on human vulnerability, exploitation, and fear, exposing some very bleak aspects of the American Dream and the fate of people who have no choice but to chase it. A multi-faceted look at human smuggling and trafficking, the four-part docu-series focuses on the shadow industries that surround Central American migrants at every step of their journey to a safer existence.
THE INVISIBLE PILOT
From Executive Producer Adam McKay, The Invisible Pilot is a three-part documentary series about a labyrinthine story that begins in Hazen, Arkansas and ends in one of the biggest political scandals of our time. I served as one of the pricipal DPs across the project, which premiered on HBO in May 2022.
EARTHSTORM
Storm chasers, survivors and first responders recount their harrowing experiences with volcanoes, tornadoes, hurricanes and earthquakes. The series premiered on Netflix in October, 2022. I served as co-DP on episode one, "Tornadoes".
THE WEEKLY
A documentary series produced by Left/Right and The New York Times for FX and Hulu. I was deployed into the field as the principal cinematographer for several episodes, including the season premiere, which uncovered rampant abuse of students at a nationally acclaimed charter school in Louisiana.

I served as the director of photography for the Conrad Anker and Angel Collinson episodes.
VICE on HBO
In 2016, I joined a team of cinematographers hand-picked to set the look and tone of Vice News Tonight, an ambitious nightly news program shot in a cinematic doc style for HBO. I shot over 100 stories from the eroding arches of the Great Barrier Reef to the underbelly of the American opioid epidemic. The below piece follows a day in the life of Howard Ring, an 82-year-old widower struggling to support himself through work at a nearby needle factory.
FANATICS: THE DEEP END
A long-format, hosted docuseries looking at the outer limits of obsession. I served as the DP for the first several episodes and set the tone and look for the remainder of the VICE series.
